| MY FINAL PATTERN |
I didn't end up using any macro aspects or the spraypainted flower on the concrete, because they didn't really go with the overall look of the real, full roses. I still incorporated roses at all stages of life, and my own drawing (leaves). I'm really proud that it worked!! And I love the pattern - I would love this as detail on a garment!
I surprisingly didn't encounter any problems besides having to turn the snap tool off when defining my pattern. But for me this assignment was very challenging in a really good way. It made me start to get really comfortable with using photoshop, and get really confident with understanding the toss repeat. It was so rewarding when my pattern worked, I am so proud and feel such a huge sense of achievement. This is partly because I thought my lack of prior knowledge of photoshop may have been limiting - I thought I would have to resort to making a basic pattern that didn't excite me. But this, I would wear!! Because it appeals to my personal taste, it became so much more than just a pattern I made within a brief of nature. I'm really proud!
