Keep all dress shapes on the
side around the page

File save as template
BUTTONS
·
Shift option draw circle
·
Line in middle
·
Creating same gaps:
·
Group button lines (up vertical
bar)
·
Shift option move down
·
Command D etc etc
OR
·
Position first and last
·
Double click Blend tool (under
eyedropper). Specified steps. ok
·
Click on top and bottom button
PRINTS
·
Select shape
·
Click on desktop. Make size of
square
·
Fill
·
Ellipse tool (circle). Click
desktop. Make size. Fill.
·
Place centre of circle on
corner of square.
·
Square is 20mm wide.
Illustrator preferences, general, incriment 20mm. OK.
·
Option, arrowkey to left ONCE.
Dot will go to next corner. Down and then across.
·
MIDDLE: Illustrator, preference
general. 10mm. Option left, no option up.
·
Select square.
·
Command C command B to paste to
back.
·
Remove fill
·
Window, brushes
·
Select whole thing, drag into
palette
·
Use as FILL
CHANGE SCALE
·
Object transform
·
Scale. Untick object, tick
patterns.
·
Uniform scale 50% or whatever.
·
Command D to duplicate last
action, will keep going smaller and smaller.
CHANGING COLOUR
·
Must always keep original
pattern working if we want to make changes
STRIPES
·
Make a rectangle shape. E.g.
20mm by 30mm.
·
Fill plain.
·
Create second one 20mm by 15mm.
Make it white. Same width but different height, which determines the stripe
thickness.
·
Window, pathfinder. Align.
·
Select two objects. Align them
to the left and top.
·
Click bigger square, command C
command B. No fill.
·
Select whole thing, drag into
swatches.
·
Object transform, rotate or
scale as we wish. E.g. diagonal.
