Fashion Figure Make-up

I found this task really hard... For some reason I couldn't find normal brush choices/illustrator wouldn't let me use them. I also found these figure heads a really odd shape which made finding faces and hair for it difficult. I also think my knowledge of doing make-up is really limited, I's appreciate learning some approaches because I have no idea??

MAKEUP

·      Drag figures onto page

·      Embed

·      New layer (image must be on bottom layer) then lock it

·      Trace

·      Get an image of a face/makeup to copy

·      Use brush tool to draw facial features. Use transparency and colours, and different weights and shapes of lines/brush.

·      OR live trace then use mask/cookie cutter method below to just get one eye etc

·      Before we live trace, expand image and delete white

·      Trace whole face… easier

MASK

·      create stroke

·      Increase weight (60pt) to create ribbing and then make it dashed

·      To fit it within a certain shape:

·      Draw the shape it will be confined within

·      Place it on top of ribbing. Whatever is beneath it will remain, anything outside will go

·      Select both

·      Object, clipping mask, make
